The trio’s plan is to create the most expansive soundscapes possible with the smallest possible lineup. No German rock, no pretentious pop, no punk rock—and comparisons to Stuttgart’s tiny scene fall flat. The album is a monolith, a statement, a maverick. “The end, Machine God, nothing can stop us now…” It has something of a concept album about it, without explicitly claiming to be one—thick walls of guitar, noise rock, industrial-style drums that drive endlessly forward. A magnificent album!!
