ROTOR are ROTOR. Unconventional, headstrong, and different. A band that seems to defy all rock clichés, deliberately ignores them, and has reached its own ultimate level. They stand for intricate instrumental rock. Heavy, intense, groovy, yet at the same time light, elegant, ethereal, and always rhythmically intricate.

For “Sechs,” they retreated once again, taking producer Charlie Paschen (Coogans Bluff) and his equipment to a country house in the solitude of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and crafting new songs from ideas and riffs. A completely light and transparent sound captivates, just as it did on “Fünf.” An album that takes and needs a little more time, that grows and never forgets its light and organic core, despite heavy riffs, grand song structures, rolling grooves, and unusual arrangements.
