It’s hard to believe this Berlin trio is new. Even though they’ve already made quite an impact in the past—no surprise, considering the bassist is named Mammut and used to play bass for Kadavar. It’s all about rock! About leather jackets and sunglasses. It’s all about style, baby! Garage rock à la Velvet Underground, BRMC, J&MC, Oasis… Their debut is titled “Trust” and captivates with its raw charm, powerful guitars, and catchy hooks. The trio’s debut is full of references to the record collections of the past; every pose is a page from rock music’s great photo album, and yet, when the needle hits the black vinyl, it grabs you and sounds fresh, new, and unique.

Somewhere between garage rock, neo-heavy blues, and psychedelic, wrapped up in all that distortion, it’s the catchy melodies that crawl out of the speakers like a massive Jurassic Park earworm and stick in your head. Recorded and self-produced quickly, directly, raw, and without much overdubbing.
