They're back, even though they never really went away. As recently as 2016, THE FLYING EYES were on a major European tour, but it still took a while for their fifth album to arrive. That makes this album all the more impressive—it's brimming with confidence and great songs, packed with riffs and sparkling ideas. Great artwork, great sound, perfect!

But it’s not just musically that the four have grown and are showing themselves to be more self-assured than ever. The political stance, the socially critical attitude, a little “Fuck Trump” on the band photos—all of this stems from a clear stance. That this band has more to say than just clichés and rock slogans is both audible and visible. Even the album title—a line from the song “Circle Of Stone”—sets the tone. “As far as what the album title means, to me it reflects how human activity is leading to the destruction of the natural world,” explains Elias Schutzman. “Can I wake up from madness? Then give me a reason, I don’t know how to stop this, The burning of the season—Pollution and treason, How can we live without them?”
