Hodja
Albums
Wild, unbridled, free
True rock’n’roll is black. Its roots are black. HODJA bring all that back to the surface. Gospel, soul, voodoo – cut up by a guitar that reverberates and fires off its attacks, moaning and screaming. Not surprisingly, HODJA’s pedigree is deeply rooted in New York soil. But HODJA is just as anarchic, wild, unbridled and free. Detached from the hip music business, scene police and other guidelines. The fact that the Danish hippie state of Christiana is another part of the band’s vita alongside New York therefore comes as no surprise to anyone. The fact that the recordings for both albums were made there is another nice story.
