TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS – Single
“VISIONS IN BLOOM” – Album
Since bursting onto the neopsych scene with their 2019 debut album Unity, Spiral Drive, the visionary project of German/Austrian multi instrumentalist and producer Raphaël Neikes, has evolved into one of Europe’s most dynamic and boundary pushing psychedelic acts.
Their second studio album Visions in Bloom (2022), anchored by the multi-million streamed single “Space Train” cemented their reputation. The album fuses psychedelic rock, alternative, psych-pop, grunge and indie into a dazzling, cohesive whole, earning comparisons to artists such as Tame Impala, King Gizzard, Queens of the Stone Age, MGMT and even Pink Floyd, while defiantly existing outside a single genre.
Last year, SPIRAL DRIVE took on one of the most iconic songs in psychedelic music history with a bold reinterpretation of “Tomorrow Never Knows”.The band transformed the Beatles classic into something distinctly their own, earning praise for its adventurous spirit and tasteful execution. The release featured original artwork by Klaus Voormann, renowned for his iconic work on The
Beatles’ Revolver.
The next upcoming album “Reise” is a full motorik Krautrock exploration created in Mannheim, the birthplace of the automobile, during an intense five day studio session with Lord Fascinator. Intended as a soundtrack for driving it evolved to a psychedelic road trip through from the streets to the stars, utilizing 5 different methods of tranportation: Auto, Rad, Zug, Flug, Raum.
The road opens on June 19th with the release of the first single “Auto” and its accompanying music video, followed by an exclusive pre-release performance with Lord Fascinator in Vienna on June 21st. The album Reise arrives on July 17th via StoneFree Records, with additional singles released month by month as the album gradually reveals itself, reaching its final destination in October.
Having already completed two UK tours in 2026, including appearances at The Great Escape Festival, SPIRAL DRIVE returns to England this September for a third run of seven shows. Meanwhile, work on the follow-up to Visions in Bloom continues, with new songs already finding their place in the band’s live set.
