Gunshots—AK-47 sustained fire. It’s 5 a.m. in a favela in Rio de Janeiro. Whether that was the trigger or just the straw that broke the camel’s back—Thiago Presto’s bags are packed: he’s moving to Leipzig in 2019. Five years later.
Two determined musicians, Simon UIm and Eric Patzschke, are facing the breakup of their band, GODZILLA IN THE KITCHEN. Their drummer is gone, and how to reunite the once-harmonious trio in 2024 remains a complete mystery.

But as has always been the case in the history of this band—which reached its first peak in 2022 with its appearance at Wacken Open Air—giving up was never an option. The allure of the big stages and the thunderous applause was just too great. A series of coincidences later, Thiago Presto is now behind the band’s drums. He brings a concentrated burst of power and maracatu to their progressive and psychedelic groove rock!

Everything changes—the instrumental days are over—it’s time to speak up, address the issues, and channel those emotions—Simon Ulm takes over on vocals. What was once an instrumental rock band is now a powerhouse of alternative metal, with contemporary lyrics. World events are subtly commented on, and the whole thing is set within the visual world we’ve come to expect from their previous albums: *Termination Sequence*—GODZILLA IN THE KITCHEN’s third album.
