A new band? A new name? A debut? Yes, and at the same time, a resounding no.

Tony Reed is breathing new life into his legendary ’90s band and releasing his first (!) studio album! Musically, it’s a dark, heavy, gothic beast. And Tony Reed is undoubtedly one of those artists that, as a fan of “heavy” music, you’ve at least unconsciously encountered on stage or on your turntable before. Bands like Pentagram, Mos Generator, Hot Spring Water, or (the so-called) supergroup Big Scenic Nowhere are just a part of his discography.

CONSTANCE TOMB was one of his first bands, which he founded at age 19 and was heavily influenced by the gothic movement of the early ’80s. There are recordings online from when they made boombox recordings or later captured everything “hi-fi” on cassette in the garage with a microphone for posterity. There were also solo cover versions recorded under this name. A labor of love that Tony Reed never let go of, but there was never a real band that toured or released an album. Until now!! He has now breathed new life into his childhood love CONSTANCE TOMB and fused his love for dark 80s bands with his heavy metal past. Bands like Southern Cult, Bauhaus, The Cure, Bowie, but also Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy have shaped his musical tastes.
