Silvershark

Covid-19: Clubs and dance floors are empty. The weekend is disenchanted and Saturday Night Fever has disappeared. Concerts, clubs and parties sound like words from another era. And then SILVERSHARK comes rollling in with an elegant swing of the hips and lays down an album that glitters like a disco ball and celebrates the weekend. “Friday night my pants are tight… and I feel alright.”

SILVERSHARK is Steve Burner (e.g. Travelin Jack) and Richard Behrens (Heat, Samsara Blues Experience) and what you might call a boozy idea. At a Kadavar concert – Richar and Steve talked about their beloved music fetish. That was enough and Richard, being a sound engineer, opened the doors of his Big Snuff Studio, which seems to have been made for this sound. Analog equipment up to the ceiling and accordingly, the usual studio clientele is quickly on board and plays along. From Coogans Bluff to Elder, from S.U.G.A.R., Heat, Wucan to Vug, everyone is easily convinced. The cover photo is shot by Kadavar’s Lupus Lindemann. There’s partying, dancing, writing, playing and soul, funk, yacht rock and 70s disco sounds come to life.
“Burn To Boogie” (January 07, 2022) is an album that will sneak unnoticed into your vinyl collection between Kool & The Gang, Funkadelic, BeeGees, Sly & The Family Stone, Chic or the Temptations
