REISE
TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS – Single
“VISIONS IN BLOOM” – Album
The latest album, “Reise”—a collaboration with the Australian artist Lord Fascinator — is a comprehensive exploration of motorik krautrock, created in Mannheim, the birthplace of the automobile, during an intensive five-day studio session. Originally conceived as a soundtrack for car rides, it evolved into a psychedelic road trip from the streets to the stars, utilizing five different modes of transportation: car, bike, train, plane, and space. The titles of the individual singles reflect this theme. The journey begins on June 19 with the release of the first single, “Auto,” and its accompanying music video, followed by an exclusive pre-release performance with Lord Fascinator on June 21 in Vienna.
The album “Reise” will be released on July 17 via StoneFree Records, with additional singles being released month by month as the album gradually unfolds and reaches its final destination in October.
After SPIRAL DRIVE had already completed two UK tours in 2026, including performances at the Great Escape Festival, the band is returning to England this September for a third tour featuring seven concerts. Meanwhile, work continues on the follow-up to “Visions in Bloom,” with new songs already finding their way into the band’s live set.
Since bursting onto the neopsych scene with their 2019 debut album Unity, Spiral Drive, the visionary project of German/Austrian multi instrumentalist and producer Raphaël Neikes, has evolved into one of Europe’s most dynamic and boundary pushing psychedelic acts.
Their second studio album Visions in Bloom (2022), anchored by the multi-million streamed single “Space Train” cemented their reputation. The album fuses psychedelic rock, alternative, psych-pop, grunge and indie into a dazzling, cohesive whole, earning comparisons to artists such as Tame Impala, King Gizzard, Queens of the Stone Age, MGMT and even Pink Floyd, while defiantly existing outside a single genre.
Last year, SPIRAL DRIVE took on one of the most iconic songs in psychedelic music history with a bold reinterpretation of “Tomorrow Never Knows”.The band transformed the Beatles classic into something distinctly their own, earning praise for its adventurous spirit and tasteful execution. The release featured original artwork by Klaus Voormann, renowned for his iconic work on The
Beatles’ Revolver.
